Adventures in Houston

Good morning, world.

So, yesterday we leave Austin after getting an oil change and taking lunch from Veggie Heaven over to Emrys' shop to hang out with him for a bit. Then we hit the road late afternoon headed to Houston to have dinner with Rory and his girlfriend. Upon getting to our absolutely favorite town in the whole USA(no sarcasm AT ALL)..hehe...we eat at Fadi's, a Mediterranean cafe. After a nice visit, in the rainy weather, we head on our way to Baton Rouge. Upon missing my exit, I get off the highway hoping for the GPS to quickly recalculate, and then notice my car sputtering, and shaking. So, pull into a Jack in the Box parking lot, and start to work on the situation.

We called Rory to ask if we could stay with him, and he comes to pick us up. After discovering it would cost too much to have AAA tow the car to Fresno, we decided to get a couple second opinions, and the AAA guy was the first to say, "it is probably just dirty fuel". So did Heather's father, who is very far away. We realized that we did just get gas, and a couple stops later, isopropyl alcohol saves the day! And we ate durian and were marry. :-)
